I would love to help students with their elementary math, reading, writing, phonics, literature, grammar, English, and other subjects. I received my degree in Health Science from Ohio State University. I now work with students on their reading as a tutor in my local school system. I've also taught the second and third grade. I know that learning can be frustrating for some students, so I create an environment of support and encouragement so that students remain positive. I try to keep things simple so that students don't feel overwhelmed. I work with students as their teammate so they know there is someone there to help them with their struggles. I try to let my students work things through on their own, and I step in to guide them towards the answers when necessary. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy traveling, going shopping, and reading good books.
